While the SPD’s economy senator Franziska Kiffi was slightly injured in Berlin, a Green Party politician was spat on and threatened in Dresden.
Dresden – Days after the attack on Saxon SPD MEP Matthias Ecke, there have been renewed attacks on female politicians in Germany. In Berlin, economy senator Franziska Giffey (SPD) suffered minor injuries in a physical attack. In Dresden, a 47-year-old Green politician was attacked while hanging election posters, and police found two other suspects.
