Rev recalls products due to metal foreign bodies

Food retailer Rewe is now warning its customers that “Pilla with tomato and chilli are always good cheese biscuits” because the product may contain metallic foreign substances.

Austria “For reasons of sustainable consumer protection, the supplier Billa has initiated a precautionary recall of Always Good Cheese Biscuits and Tomato & Chilli 90G with a date before June 24, 2025,” Rewe’s release said. The reason for the recall is that “the presence of metallic foreign bodies in individual products cannot be ruled out”. Consumption of affected products is not recommended as a potential health risk cannot be ruled out.

Please return affected products without a receipt

As announced by Rewe, stocks of the affected products in Billa, Billa Plus, Billa Kaufleute, Sutterlüty and Adeg have been withdrawn from sale. Customers who already purchased cheese pastries before June 24, 2025 can now return them without a receipt.

“Buiteman BV regrets the incident and apologizes for the inconvenience caused to all customers. The warning does not imply that a health risk was caused by the producer, manufacturer, importer or distributor,” the release said. If you have any further questions, customers can contact Buiteman BV by email at “[email protected]”.
