The International Choir Competition has been a highlight of the Spital Cultural Summer for decades. The 58th edition, which will be held from July 5 to 7, has eight Singers from eight countries around the world for a musical journey around the world in the middle of Spital. Singers compete against each other in the “Art Song” and “Folk Song” categories. Singers can win the Gunther Mittergradnecker Prize for the best interpretation of a contemporary piece and the coveted Walter Steiner Audience Prize.
This year 360 singers from Belarus, Indonesia, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Sweden, Spain and Slovenia will participate in the international jury chaired by Herbert Bach.
