Helen Fischer had her own television show for many years. She should have gotten a documentary about her life and career, but now everything looks different. According to a report by “Bild” newspaper, the deal with streaming provider Netflix has fallen through. A Netflix spokesperson said the film would not air, even though it had already been completed. The cost of this has to be borne by the streaming company itself.
Fischer’s trapeze accident is probably discussed
Since late 2022, Fisher has been on his “Roush” tour, accompanied by camera crews. At the end of the first episode in June 2023, the pop star injured her face during a trapeze number. She had to leave the stage in a pool of blood. This accident should be part of the documentation and insight into Fischer’s life from companions and those close to him.
This is no longer the case, as Fisher and the producers disagree on what footage should and should not appear in the documentary. After watching the first version, the 40-year-old had a lot of complaints. When asked by Bild on Monday about the failed Netflix documentary, your management has yet to comment.
Following in the footsteps of Robbie Williams, Taylor Swift and co.
The first German singer to join the many top international stars who already have a documentary on Netflix is Helen Fischer. The likes of Taylor Swift, Robbie Williams, Jennifer Lopez and Lady Gaga allow their fans to participate in their lives and work on the streaming platform and sometimes provide very personal insights.
This prospect of fame and success beyond the German-speaking world may have been sufficient inducement for Fischer to forego payment for the documentary. In a “Build” interview in 2022, she said: “The little girl in me still dreams of doing a show like ours in Las Vegas, because it would be worth seeing there, too.”
