At 12:17 am, the State Control Center received information about the presence of an armed person on the S1 train.
The train was immediately halted at the freight station at Wolfert. This was done by the ÖBB emergency coordinator. At that time many policemen were engaged in patrolling.
Police search on train
A total of 7 policemen along with 18 officers searched the train for the man who was on patrol. They found a 19-year-old man carrying an empty handgun. Officers confiscated the weapon.
A temporary ban on weapons has been imposed
The 19-year-old was given a temporary weapons ban. A complaint has also been lodged with the district administration for disturbing public peace.
Massive police action
The operation required heavy police protection. A total of 18 officers along with 7 patrolled.
