A large-scale operation is currently underway in Bad Vöslau in Lower Austria. According to the Courier, the fire department was called to the apartment for a report of a fire.

However, when the volunteers climbed in through the balcony doors, they retreated. They found three middle-aged men dead in the compound. They reportedly had gunshot wounds. Oxygen bottles were reportedly found in the apartment and there was talk of explosions.
A spokesman for the fire department said the fire, likely started by a criminal, was quickly extinguished. It is also currently being investigated whether it was actually a violent crime or whether people died in an explosion.
The Lower Austria State Criminal Police Office (LKA) has taken over the investigation. LKA boss Stefan Pfandler is on site personally to get an overview of the investigation. Crime Squad experts are expected to start work soon.
