200,000 fans are expected at Nova Rock in Nickelsdorf

Green Day and Sisters of Mercy kick off Austria’s biggest rock festival. Visitors are hoping for good weather.

Nova Rock, Austria’s biggest rock festival, starts in Nickelsdorf (Neusiedl am See district): from Thursday, 200,000 visitors are expected to come to Pannonia Fields for four days. The weather forecast looks great and the program has plenty on offer with acts like Avenged Sevenfold, Meneskin, Alice Cooper and Bring Me The Horizon. For starters, Green Day and Sisters of Mercy rock, Keanu Reeves with his band Dogstar.

According to Geosphere Austria’s brief synopsis, visitors can expect a friendly mix of sun and clouds. Temperatures will rise from 20 degrees to 27 degrees on Saturday. Those staying overnight at the site should carry rainproof gear. Because there is a possibility of thunderstorms on Sunday night. We recommend using trains and buses to avoid traffic jams while travelling. Despite the approach concept, delays during peak arrival times cannot be ruled out on the direct access via the Eastern Motorway (A4).
