Pelletron Corp. - Take Over Completed
Lancaster,
PA -- Pelletron Corporation, a pioneer in dedusting and
pneumatic conveying technology, today announced the
completion of the buy-out from its founder Jerry Paulson.
Five years ago, Heinz Schneider
was appointed as President and CEO and Paul Wagner as Vice
President of Pelletron Corporation. Both executives took
over 100% of the shares of the company.
The global industry expertise of
Schneider and Wagner in dedusting and conveying technology,
along with their global sales experience, were the start of
the restructuring of Pelletron five years ago. The goal was
to grow the company aggressively in the Plastics Industry
and expand its sales in Asia and Europe.
Today, Pelletron can proudly
announce the achievement of these goals. The company’s
overseas sale exceeds now more than 50% of the total
revenues.
About Pelletron Corp.
Founded in 1986, Pelletron
Corporation provides dedusting solutions to manufacturers in
an array of industries including automotive, medical,

New : KeraFlex Wear Protection
Systems
Urbana,
IN -- Abresist Corporation, a Kalenborn Company, introduces
two new KeraFlex wear protection systems, consisting of
AlResist® high alumina ceramics or KalMetall®W hard overlay
welding plates vulcanized to a steel base. These systems are
well suited where high abrasion and impact occur in
combination. Maximum operating temperature is 176º F (80º
C).
KeraFlex reduces noise and is especially well suited for use
in transfer chutes in belt conveyor systems and impact zones
in bunkers and silos. These wear protection systems are
produced in standard panels, up to 20” square, with welded
studs or countersunk bolting attachments.
KeraFlex-KRM consists of AlResist® high alumina ceramics
with a tile thickness of ½” or 1”. The thickness of the
rubber is determined by the severity of the impact.
KeraFlex-WRM consists of KalMetall-W hard overlay welded
plates, rubber and steel. KeraFlex-KR, with 1/8” to 1/2”
thick AlResist® tile and a rubber backing only, provides for
a flexible lining that is glued in place.
Abresist Corporation will be attending the Electric Power
show in Booth No. 921 from May 12-14, 2009 in Rosemont, IL.
Since 1983
Abresist has been wholly owned by Kalenborn Kalprotect.
Abresist currently employs 43 people and has sales offices
throughout the U.S. and Canada. In 2002 Abresist Corporation
acquired Canada Kalprotect in Kirkland, Quebec.

ContiTech : Energy-Saving
Conveyor Belts
Hannover,
Germany -- The ContiTech Conveyor Belt Group will be
presenting its skills as a development partner and system
supplier at the SME Annual Meeting & Exhibit of the Society
for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME) to be held in
Denver, Colorado, from February 22 to 25, 2009. This annual
exhibition has established itself as an important trend
setter for the whole mining industry.
ContiTech’s booth in the Colorado
Convention Center focuses on the company’s energy-saving
conveyor belts. One example is the RopeCon® conveyor system,
which is a combination of a conveyor belt and aerial
ropeway. It unites the benefits of both systems, thus
enabling high lift applications with few support points and
large mass flow rates.
Jozsef Papp, sales manager in the
Mining World segment of the ContiTech Conveyor Belt Group,
explains: "Compared to other means of transport, the RopeCon
concept is especially eco-friendly and presents advantages
wherever high conveying capacity is needed in rough terrain,
or across forests and wide rivers."
A current example is found in
Jamaica, where the world's largest RopeCon® system is used
in the mining of bauxite. The long-distance conveyor with
the ContiTech conveyor belt not only preserves the original
infrastructure preserved but also eliminates countless truck
runs. The downhill motion from the extraction point to the
discharge station provides energy that is fed back into the
power grid – as much as 1,300 kW an hour. Another
energy-efficient RopeCon® system has just been installed at
a gold mine in Papua New Guinea.
ContiTech is also showcasing its
energy-saving XLL conveyor belts, which can reduce power
consumption by as much as 15% on long conveyors. Another
product highlight is the ConTitan® textile conveyor belt,
which was designed especially to meet the requirements of
underground mining. Its ultra-strong textile plies provide
excellent impact resistance and a high splice strength.
By participating in the SME
Annual Meeting & Exhibit, the ContiTech Conveyor Belt Group
is once again demonstrating its ambitious position in the
American market. ContiTech is also represented In the U.S.
itself via the distribution channels of ContiTech Natco
based in Des Moines, Iowa.

No Contact : Radiometric Bulk
Flow Meter
Bad
Wildbad, Germany -- The conventional methods for bulk flow
measurement come up against limiting factors when it comes
to the bulk industry. A highly reliable alternative is
provided by Berthold Technologies with their radiometric
belt weigher LB 442.
Besides measurements of
throughput and conveyor capability, the system is also able
to determine the dry weight of the conveyed material by
integrating an additional microwave moisture measurement.
The non-contacting and
non-intrusive measurement technology is perfectly suited for
applications in the bulk industry. Neither dust, temperature
nor chemical or physical properties of the material can
affect the measuring performance. The robust construction of
the belt weigher with no moving parts benefits a low
maintenance operation.
The measuring system can be
installed on various conveying systems such as screw
conveyors, troughed chain conveyors and steel plate
conveyors, even applications on free-falling chutes have
been field tested successfully. The system can also be
mounted subsequently on existing conveyors. Moreover it is
explosion proof according ATEX (dust/gas) and FM.
Berthold Technologies GmbH & Co
KG is located in Germany. In continuing tradition of
innovative and original contributions to the development of
sensors, detection systems and instruments dating back to
1949, we offer high performance standard products, optimal
solutions for specific customer applications and OEM
instruments for biosciences, medicine, industrial process
control and radiation protection.
