I'm not a powder and bulk material handling kind of guy but I'm ready to attempt to build a storage/dispensing hopper for wood pellets.  I got a few ideas and would like to bounce them off a knowledgable person.  Would anyone be interested in knowing more?  Thanks Tom

Gentlemen,
I am interested in the concept of a bulk storage unit for wood pellets. I understand from my distributor here in CT that in two years they hope to go "bulk", by driving a truck to your home and fill up your hopper in your garage.
The only big concern I have here is that the container has to be moisture tight.
I would like to be informed if something develops.

I have built 3 hoppers of 235 liters with a vertical dosing screw conveyor for wood pellets for house pellet burners. Two of these hoppers are recently supplied to clients in Norway. If your are interested in some assistance, please contact me.

You can also see the forum: "Vertical screw conveyor for wood pellets".

I too am interested in finding a bulk storage unit(s) for home use as well. I am interested in try to start a wood pellet home delivery and home storage setup  business in my area. Being from a farm background would the same type of storage and handling eqipement us for grain pellets work for wood pellets. I think it will, but am not sure. Is this a feasable venture?
